If you don' t get the prompt to "Press Any Key to Boot DVD" then DVD is either not bootable or BIOS is not set to boot DVD correctly. Try using the one-time BIOS Boot Menu key to trigger DVD drive:
    Asus - F8
    HP/Compaq - Esc
    Sony - F2
    Acer - F12
    Gateway - F10
    eMachnes - F10
    Toshiba - F12
    Dell - F12
IBM/Lenovo - the blue Thinkvantage button

Your black screen with the blinking curser in your first few posts is usually then a problem with the video card or video card drivers.

As a test unplug your hard drives SATA connector and try booting from the DVD again. If my hunch is correct you will get a No operating system found, please insert system disk, or similar message. I think the flashing cursor is because your system is skipping by the DVD and still trying to boot off of the hard drive. When you used this DVD on your other systems did you do a clean install or did you run the install from the previous version of windows? It might be a good idea to put that DVD in one of your other PC's and verify it is in fact bootable. If some one knows of a good utility to do that would they please post it, I have to admit thats one thing I'm not up to speed on.

Use the one for your make/model, or look for the correct key on the first boot screen. Now is also the time to fill in your System Specs in the bottom left corner of post.

If you don't get the prompt to Press Any Key then I'd confirm the ISO integrity and burn another using ImgBurn at 4x speed, or write the ISO to flash stick to try install using this handy tool with Win7 in the dropdown: Universal USB Installer – Easy as 1 2 3 | USB Pen Drive Linux
