hdd drive not detected on win7 ulti setup

    i have acer aspire 4750g

my laptop hanged so i have to force shutdown it.
so after that, (i think) the OS corrupt.

    then i planned to reformat.
but when it comes to selecting drive
    no drives appeared.

my bios is set to achi
i tried loading the achi driver controller
    but nothing appears

    i tried also the
    diskpart
    list disk

it said that there is no disk active (something like that)

    Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

Is the drive recognised in the BIOS?

Press the DEL or F1 key (sometimes both) during startup to get you into the BIOS settings.

What is Win XP Pro about?

Check the hard drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic tools.

Its common for hard drives to give up in laptops, heat & being moved don't help.

You do not need XP on the HD to use Win7 Upgrade version: Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version

What makes you think your HD is bad? Did you run the HD diagnostics/repair extended CD scan linked by Theog?
