    Updating Windows 7 build

    Hi,

I currently use Windows 7 RC Build 7100.
Can I update my build, or I have to do clean install of a newer one?

Also, how often do new builds come out?

Hi yonyz, you can upgrade to a newer build but its always recommended to do a clean install for maximum performance.

The final RTM build is 7600.16385. no new builds will come now. :)

Also, keep in mind that only the 7100 build was officially given away for free. All of these other builds are leaks and so forth which weren't readily published by Microsoft.

So I won't find any newer build than 7100 at the Microsoft website?

No 7100 was released to the general public for test & feedback purposes, you will need to 'search' for 7600.16385 to find details & *whispers* download links...

    I'll stay with 7100, then.
    Thanks.
