    Eager to Install Windows 7

Hey guys, new to the forums. I have been looking around the internet on ways to Install Windows 7 and I am just overall unsure how to do this. When the retail version comes out, I will either buy it or torrent it. What I want to know is, if it is possible to Install windows 7 now, and simply install the retail version when it comes out. I have had no luck attempting to install it however. I downloaded Microsoft Windows 7 x86+x64 AIO Final RTM 7600.16385 and I tried installing both x64 and x86 and they both told me that I cannot install a x32 on a 64 bit system and also I would need to uninstall my a WiFi program which I think is the main wifi and it wont even let me delete it. I don't even know what to do at this point. I spent a good day or 2 downloading Windows and I dont want to have to do it again. Can anyone fill me in on how I should go about doing this? Should I wait for it to be released to the public? I really dont want to but idk.

Hi CheatingSoi, welcome to the forums.

Unfortunately the best thing I can suggest is to download Windows 7 direct from Microsoft (although it's 7100) and try that. If you have downloaded an AIO version from the net then it's (putting it bluntly) fake & been concocted by someone.

If you don't want to waste time downloading from MS then I would advise buying it online or in-store when it hits the shelves on October 22nd, unless you have a Technet/MSDN ubscription (August 8th )

Thanks, I did what I always do and ask a question and then just end up doing something before a reply. I found the one on Microsoft and installed it litterally just booted up and am figuring it all out. Its different but the same. Kinda trying to figure out where all my windows ans stuff are going lol. At least it made my PC fun again.

I guess your only other option would be to buy a new computer that already comes with it.

I love it though.....I'm either going to buy it or steal it...i just don't know which. <--- in regards to CheatingSoi's quote above.

Ummmm, guys. You do realize that I was talking about the original poster who said he was either going to buy it or torrent it? My comment was that I loved HIS thought process....not my own.

I just built up a computer and purchased a copy of Windows Vista 64-bit OEM for it with a free upgrade to Windows 7. I'm totally software legit at my house...of course almost all of it is open source....but I'm legal. I even stuck with just the official 7100 RC1 build....I didn't even consider downloading any leaked releases. I play by the rules
