Question about upgrading(latest build) and my data

Hi. I am currently using 7068 build. So, my question is if i will upgrade to the latest build, will my installed programs and games after upgrade still work, or all my data on the system partition will be lost.
    Regards,

if your software works now, it should work after the upgrade.

i've upgraded in the past, and most things worked ok, except my tweaked services had to be retweaked, and i had to reinstall punkbuster. i also had a problem with daemon tools after the upgrade, but someone on this forum quickly told me how to fix it.

all your data should be ok too, but it wouldn't hurt backing it up onto a seperate partition.

however, as the latest build is the RTM, it's advisable to do a clean install...it's up to you...

good luck, and enjoy your new OS!

Please keep in mind that "upgrade" in this does not mean an in place upgrade. "Upgrading" from beta to RC is actually more like a clean installation. The process (depending on choice) will wipe your drive and install the new version. If you choose the upgrade option, it will wipe your drive, but make a folder called Windows Old that will hold your files from the current OS. But, you will still have to reinstall all your applications, and move your files from the windows old folder to the new location.

the most important word is if. If the copy of win 7 you purchased allows it. there is a full version, and an upgrade version
