    windows 7 will not validate

I had everything up and running on the work bench and I disconnected everything to install in case. Now I can get into windows but it keeps telling me that my version expired. I tried to reinstall with different product key and then tried a new burned disc with the another product key # I get the same result will not validate and it is expired. Some things work and I am in windows but when I try to validate, upgrade, or get virus software the pc tells me that I am expired. Thanks for any help. This is fresh install on an amd 955, asus formula 3, geil ram, and I have tried two different hard drives.

What version of Windows 7 are you running? Is it the beta, RC1 version or a leaked copy of one of the later builds?

sounds to me he is trying build 7264 or higher, if that's true you can forget about activation, it's illegal to activate build 7264 or higher, it's considered software piracy. just use the 120 trail with the rearm method, untill october when you can get your official windows 7 key..

I don't know if this will help but windows starts with what looks a beta fish and then will give me a black screen. I try to bring up a theme but nothing happens.

I am not sure what happened, but I recommend you go back to the MS site, http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win.../download.aspx and get a new key and iso file. Then once downloaded, use the recommended app to burn the disk, then when it is time to do the installation, use the advanced option, and delete and recreate the partition, then proceed with the installation.

A re-install may be needed. Are you able to any screen-shots using the Snipping Tool in Windows 7 of the message you are getting? What does winver show?
