Hello 7nach and welcome to Seven Forums.

Is there any particular reason why you want to use grub4dos instead of the hidden factory provided recovery partition? Unless the recovery partition has been damaged or corrupted in some way it's usually a safer method to restore a machine to factory settings.

If you have a D:\ recovery partition with the original operating system, you can access the recovery process using the F8 key during boot. I would just reformat the partition and reinstall windows 7. The programs that came with your computer can be replaced at the manufacturers site.

Thx for replying, I can`t use the recovery hidden partition coz i don`t have one now and when i try Acer eRecovery Management i get this (hard drive configuration is not set to the factory default. restore aborted) or Alt + F10 i get grub4dos recovery menu so that why i want to use it to restore my laptop.

I don`t want to reformat the partition coz i dont have windows 7 dvd.
    I have Acer Aspire 4741G.

The error means GRUB has changed factory defaults which allow the Recovery partition to mark itself Active to boot.

Try resetting BIOS to factory defaults first: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

If Recovery won't run from partition then, enter Disk Management to set it Active, then reboot to try Recovery again.

If this fails, find a Win7 installer to clean reinstall with Product Key on COA sticker following these steps to get a perfect reinstall of factory OEM: Reinstalling Windows 7
