Have a look at Step Two #2 that shows how to create the partition(s) for install, I would run just the clean command first just to be sure, it takes only seconds to run and does no harm at all.
"While in BIOS setup, set SATA controller to AHCI to try install. If this fails, try IDE mode."gregrocker
Failed in AHCI and IDE
Now trying:
"Try formatting your own Primary partition marked Active with Diskpart using these Commands from DVD Repair console Command Prompt:
Select Disk 0 (use Windows 7 HD #)
create partition primary
format fs=ntfs label="Windows 7"
Active
exit"
yes it is currently removed in order to get the product codes to find a replacementtheog
You can inexpensively order any combo OD off of buy.com or newegg, or buy from a local shop.
Ill look into it as a last resort.gregrocker
Right now I'm still in the "Try formatting your own Primary-" its at 85% right now been formatting since my last post about an hr ago
"Try formatting your own Primary-"gregrocker
Completed and failed
I would Check the hard drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic tools.
Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.
HD Diagnostic
But you will need a DVD/CD Drive.
Did you mark it Active?
Since you now have a partition, boot the DVD Repair console to use Command Prompt to run Disk Check with the /f switch.
Continue to work through the other steps.
