PWBoot is an indipendent utility, search it with Google. There is only one version, vorking, from year 2006

    I created this vhd: c:\win7.vhd

    then
    1) Installed windows 7 on this file
    2) Created a bcd entry for vhd to add a item something like "Win7 WHD" into boot manager menu
    3) Attacched c:\Win7.vhd to system (mounted with diskmgmt.msc, official disk partition and editing utility of windows 7), the system assigned letter H to my VHD after mounted it
    4) download pwboot and copy into root of mounted VHD (H in my pc)
    5) rebooted and booted win7 from within VHD file
    6) run PWBoot from c:\ (this is c:\ OF YOUR VHD not of the Hard Disk)
    5) rebooted and booted from c:\ like usually
    8) Executed from windows 7 DVD, from \boot\ directory this command: bcdboot vhddrive:\Windows /s usbdrive: /v, in my case this was "bcdboot H:\Windows /s I: /V, to copy the righe boot loader settings from within VHD to USB
    9) moved or copied c:\win7.vhd into I:\, (my usb pen has got this drive letter)
    10) Rebooted pd from USB. Only one voice into usb boot loader, that just created, so your pc will start windows 7 FROM the VHD into your USB

I'm here to reply to you if you found some problem
