Hi all
Well I've at long last done it. I now have a PC running up straight into Win7. Took rather long time since I've had to do a lot of partition shuffling but PW6 performed faultlessly.
About the only thing that spoils things at present is that my OS is on K: and C: is going begging. I know I did something like changing the drive letter of the OS partition some 15 months ago but I can't remember how. I think it's something to do with Paragon Rescue Kit. However, can someone please advise me on this please as I cannot remember the procedure. Thanks a lot.
Incidentally, no comments so far re-having to do a Startup Repair if you move or resize the Win7 partition. Anyone have any thoughts.

You cannot change the existing drive letter on an OS without ruining the OS.
As I recall we helped you rescue the drive letter which had changed during reimaging, using Paragon Rescue CD.
In this case it appears Win7 was installed by running the installer from the XP partition which caused C not to be available at all to Win7. Always boot the installer to install an OS.
It's not likely you'll need to run Startup Repair after only resizing a partition, although it can happen sometimes when the resizing is done on top of the boot sector.
Thanks gregrocker for your respone. I think I'll just leave it like it is now and IF I have to do a reinstal at any time then it'll be done into C:. Until then though I'll leave as tis. Thanks again to all who have responded.
