    Slipstream SATA drivers into XP setupCD,which driver to be chosen,pls?


    Hell All,
    I am trying to slipstream SATA drivers into Windows XP setup CD fo
    r dual boot with window 7 following this tutorial in method two (window 7 is installed first)

    SATA Drivers - Slipstream into Windows XP CD
    .

    at step 12 to select SATA setup inf file , which of following files is/are needed to be chosen, please? Please see driver integrate option and current device manager as in the figures.





    Furthermore, do I need to change to AHCI mode in the bios before XP installation ? The system is currently running in window 7 in IDE mode .




    Please kindly suggest,

    As you have your BIOS set to IDE mode, if you change to AHCI mode Windows 7 will not boot.
    AHCI : Enable in Windows 7 / Vista

    Try selecting multiple driver folder , oddly there is no iaStor.inf , just shown as seen in the figure .

    then select 32 bit , Does all SATA drivers means to the highlighted items?

    Unzip the download.

    First check for all the Win XP drivers for your hardware on the manufacturer's web site.
    If your Win XP CD, does not support your Sata Controller, you will need to load drivers to uses at F6.
    Load Sata Controller drivers with a floppy disk is the best way.

    When I selected single driver there is iaStor.inf selectable then select iaAHCI the result is shown the same as selecting multiple driver folder which is portrayed in the picture. Thus should I select the highlighted items?

    Furthermore, I checked with acer website provide window 7 driver ; However, I have ever tried installing with window XP most of them work fine except several drivers and AHCI is also not supported it shows the error massage event install in window 7

    I have no external floppy disk and I suppose that the first chose still be able to be attained.

    I enable AHCI before window XP installation and try to install without slipstream found that the driver is already support AHCI.
