Did you make the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

Why did you need to reinstall in the first place?

I don't know what I used. it was acers erecovery management. the reason I restored it because the computer wouldn't let me make windows updates.

I didn't use disks because its a netbook. I used the built in software to restore it. all I know is that the restoration never completes after the last part comes up. sysprep - factory mode. and that's when I shit it down and windows starts normally, I notice a little 2 min sign on the user account screen. I just want to know how to properly restore it so I can get past the sysprep factory mode part. how do I properly restore it and make it proceed without stopping at that part. because no matter how many times I restore it I would have to shut it off at that part to start windows uncompleted.

So you did not make the Acer Recovery USB disk, using eRecovery, OK.

    1) Try using Alt+F10 once more.

    2) Check the hard drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic tools.
Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.
    HD Diagnostic

    3) You can Order Acer recovery disks from here:

what can I do to maybe fix the hardrive before doing the alt 10 again. the diagnostics never complete LOL. I think the hardrive is stopping me from everything. I have McAfee on there too. is there any free software that may cure the issue. disc defrag never completes either it says 87% then stops. before I reset it it was 73%. I want to permanently restore it and fully complete.
