Windows 7: Need help partitioning HD for audio/recording/editing use

Need help partitioning HD for audio/recording/editing use

What is the best way to utilize my computer resources for speed,low-latency,and using many audio recording programs and software at once?I have read i need to partition my C:drive into 3 partitions one for windows,one for linux and one for space for both windows and linux.But there seems to be files(unmovable)preventing me from shrinking the HD anywhere past 50%.Please caN someone help me?


PS.I am a beginner with windows so please explain like your talking to a child.thanks
