Mirror disk greyed out in Win7 Pro

Data drive and drive I want to mirror to are same manufacturer and model. Drive to be mirrored to is unallocated (the existing data drive has data on it.)
Mirror disk is greyed out on menu. I am an administrator.
I have tried starting with both as basic disk, both as dynamic disks, etc., but nothing helps.

The disks that won't work are Seagate ST31000.
Carried on with my installation and found that Seagate ST2000DLs do work.
