Win7 Setup failure Lightscribe driver missing?
I'm getting a weird error while trying to setup Windows 7 on my HP Pavilion dv5. The problem seems to center around the Lightscribe CD/DVD drive. After clicking the install now button on the first screen following the date/time/languages page, I get a message box that says that a driver for the Lightscribe CD/DVD drive is missing and an option to browse for it.
I have tried browsing for the standard Lightscribe driver software both in its exe and the place where it installs, but Windows 7 comes back saying no driver found. I have also tried all other existing driver locations on the C drive to no avail.
I'm guessing this has something to do with the Lightscribe disc printing functionality but I don't need that to install windows, yet there is no option for bypassing the driver installation. The drive should be able to keep reading the disc since it can read enough to get to that point.
Any help greatly appreciated.
