Use the HDD format utility on the win disk after you boot from it and you should be able to only format the C partition
But it says " it cannot be done to just a single partition on a drive, it will do the whole drive".
You can format a single partition.
No where in the tutorial does it say you can not Delete & format a single partition.
You might just have to lose your work for a working and functional computer!
Why didn't you make a back up? Always make a back up!!
"Warning
Do not do this to any SSD or HDD that has data on it you don't want to lose, the first thing this does is to mark the drive as "Unallocated Space" and then writes zeroes ( 0's ) to the entire drive, it's known as a "Secure Erase" and it will make data un-recoverable, it cannot be done to just a single partition on a drive, it will do the whole drive.
You have been warned!"
When you told us you wanted to save what's on D, the advice changed from wiping the HD to using the Installer to Format C as shown in Step 8 here: Clean Install Windows 7
If you are seriously infected it may still be best to back up your D data and wipe the entire HD of all code as per the tutorial, however. At the least you need to run a scan of it now using bootable Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper.
You can also wipe a specific partition using free Partition Wizard bootable CD.
