Imaging a NEW os to ssd.

my old hard drive that has been my OS drive for years wont cut it.
I have an image of my OS but i don't know how to 'image' or install it on the SSD without my cd drive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You might be able to save the file to a pendrive... can't you use a dvd drive?
Where do you have that image??

You will need either an external enclosure or an external disk (which is a "must have" anyhow). Here are some tips that may be useful: SSD - Install and Transfer the Operating System
