    Two ISOs for Hindi version?

    Hi folks!

I've just begun downloading the Hindi version of the Windows 7 Beta 1 and the downloader is downloading two ISOs for me.

    1. 7000.0.081212-1400_client_en-us_Ultimate-GB1CULFRE_EN_DVD.iso (2.44 GB)

    2. 7000.0.081212-1400_x86fre_client_LIP_hi-in-GB1CLIP_HI_DVD.iso (41.94 MB)

What does this mean? As in, should I burn 1 DVD and 1 CD or something?

Also, I would really like it If I can do a clean install rather than an upgrade. So, is it possible for me to do that?

Also, Although I have chosen to download and install the Hindi version [Yes, I am from India] Could I still opt for the English version as I see that the downloader is downloading the English version DVD as well?

Thanks folks! Looking forward to a great experience with Windows 7!

Judging by the file names, the first is the english dvd (en-us), the second is the Hindi language pack.

If you dont install the hindi pack, You are installing the english version as Z3r010 states.

Also If u need to do a clean install, just boot the dvd and not run it in windows. :)

    Thanks for all your replies!

It seems that multi-language versions of this beta are going to be released this way I suppose!

I think MS wants me to burn 2 disc and insert them at the appropriate time, which according to me is somewhat tedious. But, hey! We put up with changing 3 CDs for installing a game, so 2 discs for a first look at Win7 is a small sacrifice!

Now, judging by the file sizes, I will be burning the 2.44GB to a DVD-RW and the language pack to a CD-RW and will keep re-writing them till they roll 'em out!

And I will do a clean install. I just hope that I will still be able to switch languages. Otherwise, it may also be that there are different keys for language packs which are decided at the time of choosing the language at the Microsoft Website.

Its all speculation for me as I'm still downloading it. Will post back once I get around to installing it!
