Installed Windows 7 on SSD, want to run programs from hdd

I recently upgraded to a 80g SSD and installed win 7 x64 ultimate. I want to be able to run programs from my Win 7 x64 ultimate install on my HDD from the SSD. Is there any easy way to point my SSD in the correct direction of my programs located on my HDD? I've received a number of .dll files being missing with certain programs, others run fine. Any help would be great.

To clarify:

You have 2 Windows installations: one on the SSD and one on the HDD?

You'll need to reinstall the programs you want to run on the SSD. Some may run otherwise from their .exe but I wouldn't count on it.

Why do you want two Win7 Ultimate 64 bit installs on one machine? Do you have a license for each?

Change your Boot Order of priority in bios To the SSD first and HDD second then run windows for the SSD as normal and the HDD will become secondary HDD now in system go to your secondry harddrive and the .exes from the program files, create a desktop shortcut for the exes most applications will work exept for ones like avg anti virus msn etc ...

If the HD was connected during install to the SSD it likely kept the System Active boot files on the HD and only updated them for the Dual Boot. In that case the HD will need to remain set to boot first in BIOS setup.

A cleaner method is to unplug HD during install to SSD, after install plug in both and set preferred drive to boot first in BIOS setup, boot the other using one-time BIOS Boot Menu key. This keeps both HD's able to come and go as you please, whereas having Windows configure a Dual Boot menu interlocks them requiring surgery to remove one later.
