Help with the built-in Administrator name and one that I created

WOW! Big forum here!

Wife now has a new Aspire 5552-7474 laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium. The person who donated the new equipment generated the built-in Administrator's name to read "WINNER-PC." Probably because someone was going to win this laptop. So, I, knowing just enough to mess things up in Windows 7, added a user named "Jacqui" and set her with administrative privileges. I also did something I understand now I shouldn't have.....I did that net user administrator /active:yes thing because I thought I had changed the name of the administrator. I have since reversed that action by doing net user administrator /active:no.

So, now at login, where there used to be two names, there are no names to choose from and that's nice, but I see that WINNER-PC is still running the ship, somewhere in the background. Really want to get rid of that name and make the captain of the ship be my wife's name since she won the computer. Additionally, I can't seem to get to an elevated command prompt like you all suggest. Even though logged in as Jacqui, I still get the C:/Users/Jacqui prompt.

Is there anything you folks can do to help me get to a point where WINNER-PC is no longer the built-in Administrator? I'm certain after all this babble that you will need more info. Just ask and I'll respond.

What is the Computer name, which can be renamed at Computer>Properties? Let's start there.

The admin-level account Jacqui should still be showing on Log On screen if you disable Hidden Admin. If not re-enable Hidden Admin to set up the account again. it may have actually been the Hidden which was changed.

Computer/Properties name is Winner-PC

Jacqui still shows at login, but it doesn't say Administrator. Just her name and that she is logged on.

I ran the cmd.exe as I did before. This time though, it said "name not found" when I did either "active:yes" or "active:no." Is this how you enable/unhide or disable/hide the built-in Admin?

Yes. Did you change the name of the Hidden Admin? If you cannot now enable it I'd run SFC -SCANNOW Command to make sure no System files have been damaged.

I'd rename the Computer to the one of your choice at Computer>Properties.

Even if you change the User name as you've done the original User name will hang around for some arcane security reason until your run Factory Recovery or reinstall.
