you might want to go back and make sure your bios settings are configured correctly, default is not necessarily optimal or correct.
formatting the drive in the window's installer is a good thing.
try it again from the top after confirming the bios settings. if you have all sata drives you might want to make sure ahci is enabled.
also you might try disabling the onboard video. if you can see the install process on the new video card it should be fine. also i am thinking that having both enabled should not be an issue, but it might be a
driver conflict. having only one enabled simplifies things.
