Maps Google changing to Thai, How to stop?

So the situation here in Thailand is pretty bad to say the least. Now I’m trying to show my friend a map of our area on www.maps.google.com. One my computer which has W7 Pro the towns come up in English, however on his computer the names come up in Thai and I can’t see how to change them to English.
I assume that it’s something to do with his W7 as his was installed here by a shop, it’s a genuine copy as far as I can see. I think that it’s the basic copy, I need to re-check.
Can someone point me in the right direction.......thanks

this is not the problem of windows This is a known flaw in the product - there is one copy of the world map for everyone, so, the labels are chosen to be in the language the locals would use.
currently google have no solution for this instead i suggest u to visit other map sites.

Yes, but I live just 100M from his house and mine comes up in English. As it does with all my local friends...it must be something to do with his set up.

Suppose I could install ExPatShield for him..but he wouldn't be able to use it as unfortunately my cat knows more about computers than him.

yes by installing language packs i suppose coz once i downloaded my native language from above mentioned site and my whole win7 turn in that language i.e. Hindi see the attachment
