BSOD during install on new computer 0x7e (Pro 64bit)
Hi, I just built a new computer and am trying to install Windows 7 Pro 64bit. Whenever I get to the screen when the logo first appears (directly after it says "loading files"), it blue screens. I am trying to install it with the official CD that I got from my college, but I also tried installing it from a USB and got the same error. The USB was partitioned correctly and everything as well. Here is the full error code: *** STOP: 0x0000007e (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFF8000D16656D, 0xFFFFF880039A06E8, 0xFFFFF8800399FF40). I have tried tweaking bios settings, removing/switching RAM, changing the hard drive SATA port, and everything else I can think of. What could be causing the problem? On a side note, it does not seem to load Ubuntu either, it just stays on the loading screen for over an hour before I turn it off. So if I can't even load it in safe mode to run mem test or hard drive tests, how will I know what's wrong? Any help is appreciated, thanks! Here's my specs:
