And where did your friend get this copy of Microsoft Office 2010 from?

Please read through the licensing conditions in these Office 2010 FAQs: Office 2010 Frequently Asked Questions - Products - Office.com

Can we have that in English please?

You do realise that if you want a program like Microsoft Office 2010 you normally have to buy it.

For your friend to legally give you his copy he would need to get the license transferred to you.

I'm sorry, we don't discuss piracy on this forum.

If you want to legally acquire Office 2010 then you'll need to buy it. If you are still in education you should be able to get the Student & Teacher version, which will give you a big discount on the retail price.

The maker's of Java, Sun Microsystems, make a perfectly good free Open Office suite that is fully compatible with Office formats. OpenOffice.org - The Free and Open Productivity Suite

Click on the Download link, download and install it by rightclicking the .exe file to Run as Administrator.
