See if you can play a CD in the drive. That will tell you if it works. == Does it show up in Disk Management?

If it's detected in BIOS then it's more likely the installer ISO integrity or burn..

Where did you get Windows 7? Did you burn the DVD yourself?

Confirm ISO or download another, burn to DVD using ImgBUrn at 4x speed.

Next write to flash stick using Universal USB Installer with Windows 7 in dropdown menu - boot under USB, Removable or HD's. If it errors same, unplug DVD drive.

Reset CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS
While in BIOS setup set SATA controller to AHCI to try install.

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals.

Do you have a DVD drive and is it detected in BIOS setup?

If so, are you setting it first in order to boot? Does it give the prompt to "Press any key to boot DVD?"

Sounds like you have set both drives to MASTER. Check the jumpers.
When using one cable, DVD drive needs to be the SLAVE & the HD drive MASTER.
