Upgrade install not possible when cannot boot?

My windows 7 system does not boot propably because of file corruption. Recovery console(repair) cannot fix system to boot and cannot tell what is the problem. I have a OEM installation disc(Premium x64, bought from shop no withing machine) and it seems that I should be able to boot system if I want to start upgrade install. I would like to repair system and preserve installed programs. The problem boot disc can be read and write ok when it is installed on other system. Is there any way I can repair my system?

I am not just now with the computer but what the following happens. System informs that cannot boot and offers repair functionalty. Repair functionality runs and says that could not repair system. There has been no changes on hardware when problem occured. I am quite convinced that some inportant file/files are corrupted because I have had corruoption problems earlier. Upgrade install would sure fix problem if I just could run it.

As a start, run sfc /scannow from a command prompt. If it finds and fixes anything, run it again until it finds no further errors.

Run SFC with offline option.
sfc /SCANNOW /OFFBOOTDIR=c:\ /OFFWINDIR=c:\windows

Where "c:" is your system drive

Yes I have read these details. They inform which things are checked. In my case none of these items are found to be "root cause of problem". Final conclusion is that "root cause of problem" is not found and not repaired. Actually I don't know how to copy/paste/save these lines.

the description of the result should be ignored 100%. trust me. BUT you need to make the system drive the active drive using cmd prmpt from the boot disk as you did with the previous command, followed by exactly 3 startup repair from the dvd each time ignore the results and click restart, nothing else inbetween. it will fix your mbr to make your system drive the boot drive and the third time it restarts do not boot to the dvd, but the hdd instead. then you should get the menu (safe mode1,2,3 or start win normally) start it normally. that should do the trick.... i get you a link a tutorial read it and follow it to a tee (ignoring only one section that is for systems that can access windows which yours cannot yet.

Read both first so you get what your going to do, then follow it step by step, OEM discs do sometimes work fine for this type of purpose (and visa vera Retail discs often work on OEM systems) it just a matter os if the branding mfgr scewewed with the repair console to make it their own version, as a few do.!

remember to be sure your dvd drive is first in boot order and hdd is next, so yu can switch when prompted at boot time.

You'll also need to run the Repairs from the DVD's System Recovery Options and not the one which autostarts when Win7 fails to boot and relies on possibly corrupted System files.

But first check for infection: Try booting into Safe Mode with Networking to run Malwarebytes full scan.

If no Safe Modes then download, burn to CD or write to flash stick, boot and run a full scan with Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper

Once you're clear of infection (run it repeatedly to be sure) boot into DVD Repair console to run Startup Repair repeatedly. If this fails run SFC -SCANNOW Run in Command Prompt at Boot

If the Repairs fail, follow ruby's good advice to make sure your Win7 System Reserved partiition (preferred if you have it) or Win7 partition itself is still marked Active. Partition - Mark as Active (Method Two)
