Downgrade from Ultimate to Professional without a clean install

    Thanks, Lady. I fully agree.

    Jack as far as I know activation methods are the same. I know the workaround worked for so many who had no complaints after beta that the advice we had been giving that a clean reinstall must be done from the RC almost became irrelevant. Apparently the in-place Upgrade reinstall of the OS done during the workaround was sufficient to clean out the reporting software MS had on the RC which they thought needed wiping. Once the desired version is achieved then I've not heard of any activation issues I can recall.
