Upgrading from Windows 7 Home premium to Windows 7 Ultimate

I would like to upgrade my current system to Ultimate not sure what problems I may encounter.
Current version is Win7 64 bit Home Premium with all updates current.
I have a retail version of Win7 Ultimate but it doesn't indicate if it is with sp1.

Is it possible to upgrade without having to re-install programs etc?
    What issue might I have?

    Thanks in advance,

Type Anytime in Start Search box, insert the Ultimate retail key and in minutes it should unlock the extra features. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...nytime-upgrade

Backup your files and a Win7 backup image of Home Premium in case you want to go back: Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup

Thanks for getting back to me.... however I failed to provide all the information that goes with this question.
I am currently having a problem where the system does not completely load. It stops loading just before the first Window 7 screen. I'm left with a black screen with a mouse cursor.
I was hoping to insert the Ultimate disk and perform an upgrade, hoping that the existing problem is solved as well as upgrading to Ultimate.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

You can't do an in-place Upgrade from within Win7 - it must be a clean reinstall or using Anytime Upgrade.

Why don't you ask us how to repair Win7 instead of taking flights of fantasy?

Boot into System Recovery Option, accept any offered repair. If none is offered or repair fails at reboot, run Startup Repair repeatedly to see what it reports.

    Thanks again for your feedback...
Again I failed to provide all the information... I did submit another thread in another area on my problem but have not had any responses... Here is that thread.

ps.... I have run startup repair multiple time and now it says there are no problem... However it still stops loading after the "Starting WIndows" screen and the "Welcome" screen. That is the black screen with the mouse cursor which normally appears for a free seconds and then the cursor shows it is busy and then the "Welcome" screen appears.
