    How do i create a multiple Windows 7 Installation DVD


    Hi guys,

    i am trying to create an instalation dvd for my computer and i have my .wim wich is my image and i need to put it on a dvd, one problem, it is 12GB, so how do i span the image accross multiple (prob 3) DVD's

    i only have single layer DVD's

    Did you save your windows installation to wim files? (using tools like imagex)
    If so you better do a simple "system image backup" instead

    yes it was captured with imagex, i need the install dvd's because they are being distrabuted to people who have truble turning on a computer so a back up is not an opption

    You might try Vlite which has the ability to span multiple DVD's but you are in uncharted territory trying to make a bootable Win7 installer at 12gb on DVD's.

    Believe it or not, recovering using Image on external from booted DVD/Repair CD might be easier. It is easier than Repairs when I walk noobies through it on the phone.

    Don't worry guys, i figured it out, it is a tool in the windows AIK that doesit
