No drivers were found click load... Also what I have tried to do.

Hi,

When I try to install windows 7 it asks me where to install but it comes up with

"No drives were found. Click Load Drivers to provide a mass storage driver for installation"

My pc is a Acer Aspire ax3300 Desktop

In the Advanced BIOS Features the 1st Boot Device shows:

HDD :P1 -WDC WD6400AkS-22A7B2

I am trying to install windows because I tried factory restoring and the upstairs electric switch just happened to switch off and when i turned back on i got the following message on the black screen:

/Windows/system32/winload.exe

status: 0xc000000f

Info: The selected entry could not be located because the application is missing or corrupt

I managed to get it up and running with usb booting and then I started to install the drivers as the Hard drive deleted everything on it, so it did not have any Acer software. When I installed a few drivers it started to crash every 30 seconds and would take 1 minute until I could move the mouse, then it would do the exact thing.

I don't know what I can do but I have took the SATA cables? out of the hard drive and waited 20 minutes, put them back in but the same thing happens. I have clicked the load Default settings on the CMOS Set up Utility but that hasn't done anything either...

Help would be appreciated thanks.

If there are further probs I'd test my HD to make sure its not been damaged. Use the maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan which can repair problems and let you know its condition. After the scan wipe the HD, reset the BIOS to defaults and try again.

Why were you installing Drivers? Windows 7 is driver-complete with newer arriving quickly after install via optional Windows Updates once you connect to the internet. This is not XP. Follow these steps to get a perfect reinstall of Factory OEM: Reinstalling Windows 7

Tap the Acer F12 key at bootup to choose USB or DVD drive to boot, Press Any Key when prompted to boot DVD.

Are you using a Acer Recovery Disk?

Thanks for your replies. Gregrocker, I also tried installing with the original windows 7 disks but they couldn't find a drive. I think I might buy a new Hard Drive and see what happens.
Also I had to install some drivers I think because when it installed I literally had nothing. When I clicked on my computer it had 639gb out of 644gb free space for some reason, then I had to install usb drivers? As I have a usb wireless adapter to connect to the internet.

Theog - The acer recovery disks I burned before my pc broke only load up to 3/4 when I insert and they say "Windows loading files" then my pc just seems to crash and do nothing. I don't know where I can download them from.

Im not really that good on computers so I might not be able to do certain things if you ask me.

Not tested WDC CD on USB, but the WDC DOS app will work from a DOS USB Pen drive.

Does the HD register in BIOS setup? Tap the F2 key as you boot up to enter BIOS setup.

Boot the WD Lifeguard diagnostics extended CD scan to confirm HD. Then choose wipe HD with zeroes.

Download this ISO http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-58997.iso Windows 7 Home Premium x64 English

Burn to DVD or write to flash stick using Windows 7 USB-DVD Download Tool

Boot the DVD by setting DVD drive first to boot in BIOS setup, or tap the Acer F12 key at boot to get a Boot menu, choose DVD. Or it will autostart on wiped HD.

Put your wireless driver on a stick from Acer Support Downloads page for your model.

Follow these steps to clean reinstall: Reinstalling Windows 7
