Reinstalling win7 on SSD - Format?

    Hello,

I am wanting to reinstall Win7 as I have been getting some BSOD lately, and I think it is time to freshen up the system.

I'm looking for advice on doing so as I have an SSD I like to run the OS from and use as my c: drive. I would like others opinions on the best way to go about this and whether or not to format the SSD.

    I appreciate your help!

It's not necessary to use Diskpart to clean a new SSD as it is hard on it.

    Hi Greg,

I would not call my SSD new, as I have had it since last Aoril. Whatcha think? Should I be using the diskpart, or just reload from the system image you had me create last April?

    Good idea.

Just boot the WIn7 DVD Repair console or Repair CD to Restore Using a System Image, let it autodetect the image on your external HD, reimage with full reformat.
