How do I uninstall linux and install windows 7?

Hi, My friend had another friend get rid of windows 7 and put linux on her computer and she wants windows back.
I am just wondering if their is an easy way for someone who is not 100% tech savy to re-install windows. ive read the other forums and there is a bunch of stuff about partitions and GRUB that im not sure of. is their an easier way of doing it or will it have to go to someone who really understands computers?
Thanx

A Clean Install will be needed
Clean Install Windows 7

Note that a Windows 7 DVD will be required.

Yes, and the Hard Disk will be formatted.

If you don't have a Win7 DVD, you will either have to borrow one or buy one. But ... if Win7 came preinstalled on her PC, and if the "friend" wiped out the Recovery partition on her PC, she should contact the seller of the PC and see if they will send her a full-restore set of CDs (or DVD). They typically will do that for a much lower price than what you are facing if you have to go out and purchase Win7.

All Linux code must be deleted using the CLEAN ALL command. As you have had linux on the HD you need do a Clean all & full format.

Try a full clean & full format in command prompt.
1) Boot DVD & Press Shift+F10 (for command prompt)
DISKPART : At PC Startup
2) Boot DVD, & Command Prompt at Startup
(for command prompt)

Type in command line
DISKPART
LIST DISK
SELECT DISK # (win HD)
CLEAN ALL
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
SELECT PARTITION 1
ACTIVE
FORMAT fs=NTFS
ASSIGN
EXIT
EXIT
