Installation problem Hello,
I have some problems with installing Windows 7. I tried to install 4 different versions and I had same problems with all of them on two different hard drives.
I tried to install it on partition D, created from Windows XP install setup, formated in NTFS.
When I boot DVD, after the part when Windows are loading files, nothing happened. There is no window with language options, but I can see background and I have control over my mouse.
If I try to install 7 from Windows XP, everything goes fine until last restart, after that I cant boot 7 or XP any more and I have to fix mbr and boot so I can boot XP.
I hope someone can help me and thank you in advance. | My System Specs |

Thank you for answer, but it didnt help. I know most of these things, I have dual boot with XP and Ubuntu and I had Vista at some time.
I just tried to install it again, this time on clean disk with no partition and I had same problem as I mentioned above-after loading files there is no language setup window. And I installed same release on laptop and it works fine. | My System Specs | | OS Windows XP CPU Amd Phenom II X2 550 Motherboard DFI LanParty DK 790 FXB M3H5 Memory Kingston DDR3 2x2GB 1333 MHz 9905403-011.A03LF Graphics Card Saphire ATI Radeon HD 3870 512MB GDDR4 Sound Card Realtek ALC889A @ ATI SB750 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung T220 PSU Corsair 450HX Case Colermaster CM690 Cooling Thermaltake Sonic Tower@CPU, default@VGA, 4x120mm fans Hard Drives Seagate 500GB ST3500320AS

Check your BIOS and see if the legacy USB is enabled... if so, disable it and try again. Legacy USB can interfere with installation, even if CD/DVD is set first in the boot device list.
(I'm not sure if this will work with USB keyboards/mice... they may need to be PS/2... but those adapters are ubiquitous.) | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number me / #1 OS windows 7 x64 Home Premium CPU intel q6600 Motherboard gigbyte ga ep45 ud3l Memory g.skill 8gb ddr2 1066 (pc2 8500) Graphics Card evga geforce 9800 gtx 512 mb Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050 PSU raidmax 500w Case smilodon (yes, t'was the pretty blue lites that got me!) The bios will be inaccessible with wireless.
The mouse will work. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Build OS Windows 7 7600 1 X64 CPU AMD PHENOM II X 550 PROCESSOR 3.1 ghz Motherboard ASUS M4A78-TE Memory Corsair 4 gig ddr 3 Graphics Card ati radeon 3300 Sound Card ati hd Monitor(s) Displays syncmaster 2033sw Screen Resolution 1600X900 60 hz refresh PSU antec_550 watt Case cooler master GLite Cooling stock_heat sink Hard Drives twin_seagates SATA's 1 TB & 500 Gig, hitachi_slimline 160 gig Internet Speed 20mbs up/ 1.5mbs down Other Info favorite child "stewie"

I had similar issues when I made the iso on an xp 64.
I tried a new iso image on a xp 32 machine and slowed the burn way down and successfully installed the new image on the original 64 bit machine. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Build OS Windows 7 7600 1 X64 CPU AMD PHENOM II X 550 PROCESSOR 3.1 ghz Motherboard ASUS M4A78-TE Memory Corsair 4 gig ddr 3 Graphics Card ati radeon 3300 Sound Card ati hd Monitor(s) Displays syncmaster 2033sw Screen Resolution 1600X900 60 hz refresh PSU antec_550 watt Case cooler master GLite Cooling stock_heat sink Hard Drives twin_seagates SATA's 1 TB & 500 Gig, hitachi_slimline 160 gig Internet Speed 20mbs up/ 1.5mbs down Other Info favorite child "stewie"

I burned it on XP 32.
Last time I waited few minutes after loading files and language setup window showed up, but windows didnt boot. I tried to fix startup but I get an error saying that I'm not using same version. I also installed Ubuntu so I could use its boot manager, but after choosing to boot 7 my PC restarted.
After that I tried to install it on other PC with similar motherboard (DFI LanParty DK M2RS) and I have same problem so I believe that there is a problem with chipset or SATA/ATA controler. Both motherboards have latest BIOS.
EDIT: I just successfully installed it on one more laptop and it works perfect. | My System Specs | | OS Windows XP CPU Amd Phenom II X2 550 Motherboard DFI LanParty DK 790 FXB M3H5 Memory Kingston DDR3 2x2GB 1333 MHz 9905403-011.A03LF Graphics Card Saphire ATI Radeon HD 3870 512MB GDDR4 Sound Card Realtek ALC889A @ ATI SB750 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung T220 PSU Corsair 450HX Case Colermaster CM690 Cooling Thermaltake Sonic Tower@CPU, default@VGA, 4x120mm fans Hard Drives Seagate 500GB ST3500320AS

Unpack the iso and do a clean install on the hd.
