Windows 7 and 40GB SSD filling up fast

    Oh man, wow, after doing WinDirStat update it showed:

    1. pagefile.sys = 12.0GB
    2. hiberfil.sys = 9.0GB

    I guess you guys were right that it would take up the most space. Crap, that's 21 gigs right there. Half of what I was talking about. How do I go about removing that?

    1. for the hiberfile type powercfg -h off into an elevated cmd and hit Enter
    2. the pagefile you can reduce to 2GBs - no need to move it. Type pagefile into Start/search and you will see.

    I disabled number 1 and in pagefile what do I set the minimum and maximum sizes to? 16 and 2048?

    System managed is the best, automated choice. You needn't worry about size if you wisely move it to the HD.

    What was the System Restore file size? You should give some thought to what you can afford for it, remembering that it is an important safety net.

    If you do not want to move it, set it to 2GB minimum and maximum.
