Sony vaio recovery Problem - "Windows setup can't "

Hello there, I have a sony vaio VPC-CW16FG laptop. My hard disk crashed recently so I bought a new hard disk Seagate ST320LT023, which is based on advanced format 4k sectors. The problem is that whenever I try to recover my system using recovery DVDs an error pops up "Windows setup could not configure windows to run on this computer's hardware". After researching a bit I found and successfully verified the 1st error the article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2466753 with my problem. However the second verifying instruction does not appear(there is no such line) in my system. As far as correcting methods are concerned. The problem is that the second method does not applies to my system because the bios does not show any such option and I'm not sure how to apply the first method. Please guide me (step wise) how do I install drivers when I can't boot into my computer. Is there a way I can do that from linux liveUSB. I don't have any windows installation DVD. Please help.
