Is this an eMachine which came with Win7 installed? What is the licensed version on COA sticker, and is it 32 or 64 bit?

What is a backup DVD? Recovery Disk or Win7 Reinstallation DVD?

You need a bootable installer for best install and repairs.

No this thing originally had XP but I've gutted the case recently. Has Asus mother board with Intel processor. I've had vista, then went to 7 ever since the beta. Ever since this virus pooped up, I can't do anything.

Once before the error was solved by simply cleaning the DVD. But if you're running the files from desktop then I'd suspect the ISO or extraction.

How are you activating Win7 and what is the version you've paid for?
