| | Using a USB, install 7 on an SSD Hi, Prior to my pervious thread on troubles upgrading etc. I now need to install windows 7 on my new SSD. Thing is, I can't get it working, I get a fast BSOD then the system restarts. I have to use a USB to install it at this point and I cant access my previous install of windows on the standard HD so I need to do it through cmd prompt? Any help in doing this would be much appreciated. Thanks |

| | Where did you get Windows 7? Confirm the ISO or download another, write to flash stick using Universal USB Installer with Windows 7 in dropdown menu. Boot under USB, Removable or HD's by tapping the one-time BIOS Boot Menu key given on first boot screen. Set HD first to boot in BIOS setup. Unplug all other HD's. |

| | I managed to install it, I have the old hard drive with everything on so I'll start fresh and copy the settings for programs over. |
