Windows was unable to complete the format after dual boot

I'm setting up a Dual Boot Windows 7 and Windows XP. I installed Windows 7 first, then installed XP second, both installed on seperate partitions.but now i don't want xp so i formatted second drive but Windows was unable to complete the format now so hoe to format my second drive ...

Make sure Windows 7 holds the System Active flags then delete the XP partition in Disk Mgmt.

Please post back a screenshot of your maximized Disk Mgmt drive map with listings, using Snipping Tool in Start Menu: Screen Shots
