| | Move system from HDD to SSD without reinstalling Hi! Is there any way to move my Windows 7 installation from HDD to an SSD without reinstalling windows or the software? I would also like to know how to get rid of dual boot screen that I created when I had a Windows 7/Ubuntu dual boot. Then I've formatted the Ubuntu partition and reinstalled windows, but the dual boot sreen is still present. |

| | DoF, Welcome to SF. My SSD came with a software program from Apricorn called EZ Gig III cloning software and it works amazingly well. I'm sure others will have ideas and possibly free open source solutions. I removed a XP and Windows 7 dual boot but it was so long ago I can't remember what I had to do. |

| | Open msconfig>Boot to see if there is an Ubuntu listing to delete. To move your existing installation to SSD I would only move Windows 7 and 100mb Sys Reserved partitions, following the steps given earlier: SSD - Install and transfer the Operating System |
