    Ssd & ahci


    I don't understand AHCE but was told to make sure when I put in my SSD to put it in AHCE. I don't even know what that is but I think you set it up in the BIOS. However my drive is fast. I can bring up Word or Excel in less than one second so maybe this is something I shouldn't worry about?

    I noticed no real world difference between AHCI and IDE mode with my SSD. The only area where you could see a difference was on a benchmark.
