OK Sir, even without a Product key you can install Windows 7 and try it for 30 days. So do install an official version and not any pirated/preactivated Windows. It is not good for the health of your laptop.
As Gregrocker said Windows 7 will have/find most of the drivers though I prefer to download them from the Dell support site and have them ready.
Let us know the model number of the Dell Laptop. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit |

For the other drivers like nVidia etc, if needed, you are to search with the card's built number , in the manufacturer's site. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Self Assembled OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit SP 1 CPU Intel Core i3 2120 @ 3.30GHz Motherboard Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. I think I can't explain it what I a trying to say. During the part where I choose to install the OS, it asks me that I need drivers blah blah will search the PC, CD/DVD, disks and so on to find them. Since it can't find the drivers, it doesn't allow to install Win 7. I need integrated drivers. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer Aspire 6530G OS Windows 7 Home Premium CPU AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-70 2.00 GHz Memory 4 GB Graphics Card ATI Radeon 3650 HD Screen Resolution 1366*768 Mouse Labtec |
