The best idea is to connect the drive that will have Windows to port 0, so that it will be Disk 0. You can get away with installing Windows on Disc 1, but in certain circumstances that can later cause problems.
So--disconnect all hard disk drives.
Then connect the Windows drive to the motherboard connector to which the 2 TB drive was connected--that is port 0.
Leave the 2 TB disconnected.
Install Windows to the other disc now on port 0.
After the install is finished and everything looks cool, reconnect the 2 TB to port 1. It will then show up as Disk 1, not disc 0.
Hi,
Do the following in this order:
1. Unplug the 2TB drive.
2. Install Windows to the 195GB partition on the plugged in disk
3. Plug the 2TB drive back in again.
Now you can continue as normal. During installation, it is always recommended to only have a single disk plugged in at a time. This makes the installation easier.
EDIT : Looks like we posted at same time Ignatz - sorry didn't mean to butt in.

Could you please clarify that if there is an external Disk 1 then that too needs to be disconnected when installing Windows on Disk 0?
I had till now thought that if Windows was being installed on Disk 0 then Disk 1 and other higher numbered Disks whether internal or external need not be unplugged.
