I am running a 32 bit version of Windows 7 Ultimate. I at one point HAD Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit, but it is totally incompatible with the development environment I work in, and I had to switch back.
I HAD it running under Windows 7 64 bit, and failed to uninstall it before I did a migration to Windows 7 Ultimate 32 using LapLink's PC Mover Pro.
Since I've upgraded everything in the machine, and the hardware is way more than capable, I have uninstalled WIn VM, and WinXP doiesnot appear in the install list, I try to install the (The big one) first, and it keeps up the "The prior version of the application is installed, please uninstall it and try again." garbage!
I did ALL the uninstalls required, I searched the registry for all occurrences of Virtual PC and deleted all keys., and I have searched the PC for all occurrences of Virtual PC .
I'd appreciate any suggestions. I'd like to go with the Microsoft method, as it's the one I want to test under. I do have the Oracle free VM box, but it seems only to work when it 'feels like it", like my teenager used to... (almost never, unless he needed allowance).
