Does the board beep when powered on.

No video is indication of bad video or bad ram.

No the boards do not beep.

    The ram is good.

The 9500 is good, because like I said, it works on another machine.

On the next setup, you REALLY think the onboard video AND Video card not good?

It's got to be something else..

That is not exactly what you said, as it pertains to the RAM.

"...P.S - I used to use these parts before, so I know they are working. Probably just been idle for some months in a box.. under my bed.. somewhere >_> "

Allow me to re-phrase my response:

If system hardware contains either a bad video component or a faulty RAM component, it is not atypical for the system to POST and present no video. The same presentation can also be indicative of a failed CPU. Failed CPUs can still get hot.

ANOTHER setup. Before plugging it in the case, it came on. Put it in the case, did not come on. Took it out the case, did not come on. Played around with it outside the case, came on. Put it back. Didn't come on. Tookit out. Came on.

Put it back in and just screwed it down, inserting RAM, and video card only. It came on. Plugged in other devices. It doesn't come on.

By "come on" I mean power up but no display.

Also, all the tests taking it out and putting it back on, only ram and video card were attached...

    Sigh.

    Hi TGS,

Do you have a monitor with VGA input and are you using an DVI-VGA adapter? If so, you might need to replace the adapter. I had a similar situation on mine, and it turned out that a couple of the pins in the adapter were bent, rendering the adapter defective.

I am using two different monitors, swapping between VGA and DVI.

    Thanks though.

So you're saying that it worked and that you got a display when it was out of the case? If that is the case, then it looks as though it could be an alignment issue. Try putting it back in the case, insert the mounting screws but DO NOT tighten them until you have plugged the graphics card in.
