Installation Failed - Error 0x08007000D Trying to install on an Emachines laptop. I get the following error:
Specs: 1.6ghz AMD Athlon XP-M, 512mb RAM, Integrated Graphics Card.
Also, I know for a FACT that the DVD works and is perfectly fine. I've used it on other machines before. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell OS Windows 7 CPU Intel® Core™i7-940 Processor(8MB L2 Cache, 2.93GHz) Memory 6GB Tri-Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1066MHz - 6 DIMMs Graphics Card 512MB ATI Radeon HD 4850 Monitor(s) Displays Dell 24 inch Consumer™ S2409W Flat Panel, Adjustable Stand Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Hard Drives 750GB - 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache Internet Speed 705kbps Download, 65kbps Upload |

Check your disc - seems that it is not able to read it correctly - might want to burn at a lower speed and see if it helps.
Other causes of this are also Overclocking (I doubt that on an eMachine) and faulty hardware.... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number The Beast Model V OS Windows 7 Enterprise x64 SP1 | Windows 8 build 7989 CPU Core i7 965 EE @3.6 GHz Motherboard eVGA x58 Classified3 Memory 3 * 4GB Mushkin Enh Redline CL7 DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3-12800) Graphics Card eVGA 560 Ti 448 Core Calssified + eVGA GTX260 SSC (PhysX) Sound Card Realtek HD Audio (onboard) Monitor(s) Displays 2 * Acer X213Wbd Screen Resolution 2 * 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Keyboard Mouse Logitech MX Revolution '06 PSU ThermalTake BlackWidow TX TR2 850 W Case ThermalTake Level 10 GT (Black) Cooling Corsair H100 CPU | 2 * TT 140mm TriLED | 2 * Antec TriCool Hard Drives 1 * Intel X-25M G2 80 GB SSD Sata II |

I doubt any of those but the latter. Disc is brand new, minimum burning speed, no overclocking. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell OS Windows 7 CPU Intel® Core™i7-940 Processor(8MB L2 Cache, 2.93GHz) Memory 6GB Tri-Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1066MHz - 6 DIMMs Graphics Card 512MB ATI Radeon HD 4850 Monitor(s) Displays Dell 24 inch Consumer™ S2409W Flat Panel, Adjustable Stand Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Hard Drives 750GB - 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache Internet Speed 705kbps Download, 65kbps Upload |

I had major issues (and this particular *exact* issue) when I tried numerous times to install the stolen 6956 build - I could never get it to work. I have no issues with 6801 after I removed my OC, and same with 7000 - no issues after I removed my OC.
However, it could be your Optical drive slowly going bad - try burning it to disc on a *different* drive and seeing it is works.... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number The Beast Model V OS Windows 7 Enterprise x64 SP1 | Windows 8 build 7989 CPU Core i7 965 EE @3.6 GHz Motherboard eVGA x58 Classified3 Memory 3 * 4GB Mushkin Enh Redline CL7 DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3-12800) Graphics Card eVGA 560 Ti 448 Core Calssified + eVGA GTX260 SSC (PhysX) Sound Card Realtek HD Audio (onboard) Monitor(s) Displays 2 * Acer X213Wbd Screen Resolution 2 * 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Keyboard Mouse Logitech MX Revolution '06 PSU ThermalTake BlackWidow TX TR2 850 W Case ThermalTake Level 10 GT (Black) Cooling Corsair H100 CPU | 2 * TT 140mm TriLED | 2 * Antec TriCool Hard Drives 1 * Intel X-25M G2 80 GB SSD Sata II |

Actually, to be honest, I tried mounting it on my USB Drive and it worked. However, I got to the part where it asks what HDD you want to install it on and it says that you can't format while you're using it.
So, is it possible for me to just put the .ISO on the USB Drive and then make my computer boot from the USB Drive? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell OS Windows 7 CPU Intel® Core™i7-940 Processor(8MB L2 Cache, 2.93GHz) Memory 6GB Tri-Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1066MHz - 6 DIMMs Graphics Card 512MB ATI Radeon HD 4850 Monitor(s) Displays Dell 24 inch Consumer™ S2409W Flat Panel, Adjustable Stand Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Hard Drives 750GB - 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache Internet Speed 705kbps Download, 65kbps Upload |

New problem. I got to the part where I formatted my HDD, and then hit continue. As it was installing, it said it couldn't install the files. So, now I have a HDD with nothing on it... great. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell OS Windows 7 CPU Intel® Core™i7-940 Processor(8MB L2 Cache, 2.93GHz) Memory 6GB Tri-Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1066MHz - 6 DIMMs Graphics Card 512MB ATI Radeon HD 4850 Monitor(s) Displays Dell 24 inch Consumer™ S2409W Flat Panel, Adjustable Stand Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Hard Drives 750GB - 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache Internet Speed 705kbps Download, 65kbps Upload |

Nevermind, I see. It's because I have to run as an Administrator.
Also, I'm going to create a bootable USB Flash/Jump Drive whenever the download finishes. I'll let you guys know how it goes if you'd like!
