Windows 7 will not boot after install on A8R32-MVP

I've got this same problem trying to install Win7 Ultimate 64 bit. I have installed this same OS on several other machines with success. This one keeps hanging even after disconnecting all other peripherals. The mobo is a Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe with a an AMD 4800+ processor and 2 GB RAM.

    Welcome to the forums krroller
Where does it hang? Can you start it in safe mode and see what is the last driver it loads?
I had a problem where it always stopped right after disk.sys. It turned out to be the processor (AMD4200+), which for some reason Win7x64 won't work with. I ended up having to replace the CPU.
Maybe your problem is different and you can get help here.

I have decided to build a new machine (new Cooler Master ATCS 840 case, Intel X58 mobo, I7processor, 6GB Corsair memory, etc) rather than continue with my old AMD X2 4800+ based system. Therefore I am no longer following up on trying to get this work.

I had no peripherals except for the sata hard disk I was installing to and USB stick I was installing from. I could boot from safe mode and it would go all the way through in these modes, but the install could not complete from safe mode. I have installed Win 7 64 bit on no less than 6 other machines of varying configurations and have not seen this issue elsewhere.

    fibble

Have you gotten a driver for your mass storage device yet? Is that a simple HD or a raid?
