Either tap the Sony F2 key at boot to choose the DVD drive to boot, or enter BIOS setup at boot to set DVD drive to boot first, Save and Exit.

I'm very proud of how well you did. . You should stick around and help others.

Follow the steps to get a perfect reinstall this time and you'll never have to do it again: Clean Reinstall Windows 7 Factory OEM

Because when it's set up and running great you can save a WIn7 backup image, then you never have to reinstall again. Just boot the DVD to Recover Using An Image and reimage the HD or it's replacement in 20 minutes.

Keep us posted on how it goes and feel free to ask back any questions.

Are you following the steps I gave you? If this is the OS which came with the laptop then the Product Key is on the COA sticker on the bottom of the laptop.

Power down, close the lid and turn it over carefully to write down the Product Key from the sticker that looks like this:

Then click the pop-up box asking to Activate or go to Control Panel>System to insert Key. Be careful to type the characters correctly.

As it says in the steps you're not reading, it may require a robocall to MS to trade a series of numbers to set it up in their computers.

You do not need to do this now, so wait until you're rested and take your time to get it all accurate. There is no chance it will not work if done correctly.
