Windows 7: Unable to proceed OS installation on new hard disk

The screen looking for drivers just popped up - but when i click on the LOAD drivers - its showing me C: (System Reserved), D: (free) E: (Recovery) and X: (Boot) .... May be i will try to Erase the data of the HDD once before i start the installation once again....

My BIOS has most of it disabled.I cant even tell if its reading my HDD. On the MAIN option all i see is Hard Disk : 500 GB. If i choose Boot - it doesn't show this EFI. Also, i dont have any place where i can change the SATA controller

In every case where we see this error (almost daily here) it is an installer problem. DId you burn the ISO to DVD using ImgBurn at 4x speed?

Try writing the ISO to flash stick using Universal USB Installer with WIn7 in dropdown menu, Boot using the one-time BIOS Boot Menu key at boot, under HD's, USB, or Removable devices.

I believe it could also be an EFI BIOS issue so that possibility needs to be pursued.

I used ROXIO Image creator for writing the CD. I was unlucky with the USB installer - it finally gave the error as i had quoted earlier and did not make it to an USB Image. Still i will try the process again

No one I know would advise using Roxio crapware to write a bootable DVD. Is there some reason you cannot follow the steps we lay out clearly ourselves and in the blue links?

The error is always the installer and you still don't have one. Read how above.

Is it a Win7 computer? Rightclick on the ISO and use WIndows Image Burner.

What USB disk is this you refer to? You said you burned a DVD with Roxio. Are you booting a USB DVD drive?

Yay !!! Its on step 18 greg ..... the installation is complete - i am not sure about step 19 though whether we have to do it or will the system do it automatically .... Now the desktop is up and its automatically doing the downloading and installing updates from the internet ......

The USB i am talking about is the one that i was trying to create day before - but when at the last step- it failed stating that it was unable to create image USB disk. I was using the DVD Image i burned for installing
