Is it the same key as used on the other partition is the question?

In that case this may be a method MS has determined to keep two installations from being on the same computer.

This is debated here since both cannot be booted at the same time, but under the EULA I believe you need a second license on the same computer.

If so you can try to save your installation by trying the steps given which have worked in the past if you want to choose it of the two to activate.

You can also copy your files over to the other OS via Explorer and then delete it in Disk Mgmt. or using PW CD. Post up a screenshot of your Disk Mgmt if you want us to assure it is ready to be deleted.

Greg, the license terms say "you may install one copy of the software on one computer" so it is not really debatable from that standpoint. The rest of the terms are vague and misleading since they say you may only use one at a time, but the quoted portion seems to indicate only one copy on one computer may be installed at a time.

I know, but that doesn't stop the debate about only one being bootable at a time.

Am still not clear if he is using the same key for both installations. If so he should choose which one he wants to keep, then we can help him remove the other one - or rescue it if he wants this one.

I mean the key is used when I installed the second OS just that once.

Do you have separate keys for each OS in your Dual Boot.

What versions are these?

I don't know exactly if I have the product key for the first OS because it is just the default OS when I got my laptop.
But I bought the second OS, full windows 7 installer.

OK you are good then since you have another Product Key on the COA sticker for the preinstalled OS.

Have you tried booting the Paragon disk to see if the Drive letter on your second partition has changed to another letter? If so change it back to the correct letter as shown in the screenshot.

You can also try Control Alt Delete, open Task Manager, on first tab Select Switch to or New Task, type CMD in Run Box, in Command box type slmgr -ipk xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx replacing the x's with Product Key. Then type slmgr -ato to activate.

I am looking for the workaround if it requires Admin for the commands. Mine didn't just now on a Standard User.

I finished burning the Paradon what should I do next?

I also tried running the cmd and followed your instructions but theres an error saying "Can't find script engine "VBScript" for script"D:\Windows\system32\slmgr.vbs".

I'm also wondering why it's talking about drive D while D is just a recovery partition

Looks like the drive letter has slipped as suspected. Let's see if it will revert to the correct letter using Paragon.

Follow the steps given in the post linking Paragon Rescue. Ask back any specific questions, using a camera snap if possible. Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums - Windows 7 Forums

Correct drive letters in the system registry.

Release the incorrect letter first, if necesssary.
