delete dual boot Ubuntu partition and convert to primary hard drive c:

I installed Ubuntu on a older Toshiba laptop. When I boot up it asks me to select either Windows 7 or Ubuntu. I want to get rid of the Ubuntu disk partition and give that 2.9 GB space to my primary hard drive. I go into compmgmt.msc but I can't execute any commands on that disk partition. Any ideas?

So you wanna get rid of ubuntu totally?
first tap F8 multiple times to enter recovery environment
select "command prompt"
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot

-now the default MBR has been restored (don't know if ubuntu did change that)

diskpart
list disk
sel disk 0 (or 1 or 2)
list part (note the number of ubuntu partition)
sel part X (if X is number of ubuntu partition. be very sure to select right partition!!!)
delete part

try to boot. post output of "disk management" afterwards

Kaktussoft: thanks for the advice. I pressed F8, entered the recovery mode, selected command prompt, and executed your suggested commands. When I got to "delete part" I got the following message: "cannot delete a protected partition without the force protected parameter set." I selected Override and the partition was deleted. I now have 2.9 GB of unallocated space. How do I allocate it or attach it to my primary partition, C: ? Or, can I somehow use it as a drive to store files? Right clicking on the unallocated space in Win 7, computer management, doesn't allow me to do anything to it.

So ubuntu is gone. Do you still see it as a boot option?
Please post a full blown screenshot of "disk management"
